It was a hot, dusty July day in 1947 when Matilda O'Donnell MacElroy, a young nurse serving in the U.S. Women's Army Air Force, received an unexpected assignment that would change the course of her life.
Matilda had been stationed at the Roswell Army Air Field, part of the 509th Bomb Group, when word reached the base of a reported mysterious aircraft crash just outside of town. As a medical professional, Matilda was asked to accompany the base's Counter Intelligence officer, to the remote crash site to provide any necessary aid.
When they arrived, Matilda was stunned by what she encountered - the wreckage of an extraordinary, advanced aircraft unlike anything she had ever seen. Even more shocking was the body of a small, unusual humanoid creature among the debris. However, to Matilda's surprise, the being was still alive and conscious.
As she examined the survivor, Matilda realized that this was no ordinary creature. It did not breathe, eat, or exhibit any typical biological functions. The Alien being was neither a biological being nor a robot. It was something else. Sound related sensory organs are not built into the body. Nor does the body need to consume food, hence, the absence of a mouth.
Yet, she could sense it was attempting to communicate with her through some kind of telepathic connection. Recognizing the significance of this, Matilda immediately reported the phenomenon to her superiors.
After a brief discussion, it was decided that Matilda would be the one to accompany the extraterrestrial being back to the base, as she seemed to be the only one capable of interacting with it. Over the next several days, Matilda conducted a series of interviews, carefully relaying questions provided by military and government officials, and recording the alien's extraordinary responses. We will release the detailed interview in the form of a mini-comic book, so stay tuned and if you are still watching this video then hit that like button and leave a comment, so YouTube will share this video to more people.
Through this unique dialogue, Matilda learned that the being, which she referred to as "Airl", was an officer, pilot and engineer from a vast, ancient civilization spanning trillions of years. Airl's physiology was remarkably different from human biology, lacking many typical organic features. The being claimed its home world, part of a domain they called the "birthplace world", was a place of immense power, knowledge and technological advancement beyond anything on Earth.
When questioned about the crashed spacecraft and the apparent reasons for their presence, Airl provided vague but unsettling answers. The craft had been struck by an "electrical discharge" from Earth's atmosphere, causing them to lose control. Airl's people had been periodically observing and studying the planet for a very long time, with little interest in the development of human civilization. However, Airl confirmed to the fact that their intentions were to "preserve and protect" because they consider Earth as a "property" of their domain.
Matilda was both fascinated and deeply troubled by Airl's responses. The alien's vast superiority in technological and intellectual capabilities was undeniable, as was the ominous implication that her people viewed Earth and its inhabitants as something to be controlled or exploited. Matilda was asked to inquire more about the technology of the spacecraft but, the alien being was not willing to discuss technical matters, due to the nature of her position as an officer and pilot with the duty to maintain the security and confidentiality required by her own "unit" or organization. Despite repeated attempts, no one else was ever able to communicate directly with Airl, leaving Matilda as the sole witness to this extraordinary encounter.
