Farmer Filmed Goblin Like Creature That Later Attacked Him

An Argentine farm worker has shared a video capturing what he claims to be a small, bipedal creature, which he believes was a goblin that later attacked him. Since being posted online, the video and shocking story accompanying it has spread like wildfire on social media in Argentina with many believing the rather fantastic tale.

The incident reportedly took place last Thursday in the village of San Pablo. According to an unnamed worker, the strange encounter began when a creature suddenly emerged from the bushes on the farm where he was working. The worker managed to film the mysterious creature from the vantage point of his tractor. However, the situation escalated when he left the vehicle, only to find himself standing face-to-face with the mysterious creature.

According to the worker, the creature suddenly fell from the sky and launched an attack, beating him and dragging his body several feet away from the vehicle. Reflecting on the terrifying experience, the shaken man was astonished by the goblin's "inhuman" strength. Fortunately, his life was saved when a co-worker, noticing his absence, went looking for him and discovered him unconscious on the ground. Upon being revived, the worker was reportedly hysterical and unable to clearly explain what had just occurred.

Locals familiar with the story have speculated that the creature might be a “Duende,” a mythical goblin-like being in Latin American folklore known for its mischievous and sometimes malevolent behaviour. Duendes are often described as small, humanoid figures that inhabit rural areas and forests, occasionally interacting with humans in unsettling ways. The late cryptozoologist Ivan T. Sanderson provided a detailed account of the jungle-dwelling Duende after conducting extensive interviews with individuals, including some highly educated people, from various parts of Central America. His work sought to document the experiences and sightings of these mysterious beings, adding to the folklore and cryptozoological studies surrounding the Duende.

Duende is usually portrayed as a shrivelled, hairy man with pointy heels who stands about four feet tall. Sometimes he holds a machete, guitar or stick. He’s often clothed in hides or rags and always wears a large hat. According to a few legends, they are shapeshifting supernatural being, a spirit of the dark representing the power of the land, that could be summoned by a Mayan Shaman with prayers and incense.

The creature’s alleged characteristics appear to be a blend of European, Amerindian and African lore, but there have been sightings of the Duende by credible witnesses. Hairy bipeds have been sighted on continents except for Antarctica. Almas, also small ones, have been seen in Eurasia.

People used to laugh at the idea of winged cats, but scientists have actually studied live ones and the bodies of those that died. This makes you wonder: could the Duende be a real creature, with its traits exaggerated by stories and fear? Like the winged cats, maybe the Duende is real.
